Flying Club

Looking Better!

Since Boxing Day 1999 a lot of work has been put into salvaging the clubhouse and carrying out repairs. After re-siting it, temporary repairs were made followed by long term repairs which were greatly helped by the donation of a large piece of glass by Parker's Glass Centre and.
Finally the caravan has been painted in it's camouflage scheme to minimise impact in the area.
The club now has a facility to sit down and make a "cuppa" or even just get out of the cold / wind / rain etc.

A Special Thank-you
to
Mr. Barr of
PARKER's GLASS CENTRE
Cathrinefield Road
Heathhall Ind. Est.
Dumfries
01387 259417

for the donation of replacement glazing for the DMFC clubhouse.

At this time of year the flying site can become quite muddy as can be seen from the picture to the left but we're all convinced that summer will come back again this year and then things will look a lot better.
